Happy Holidays!

I hope everyone had a very merry christmas! I know we did. =) This was the first christmas that conrad really got into and it was so much fun to watch him get excited about his new toys!! He has been going crazy over his new dinosaurs and his new 4 wheeler. Mommy got an amazing pair of moccasins, some records, some clothes, and a sweeeet new picture to hang in my office, which is still littered in wrapping paper scraps. =)




im in the market for a new comforter and a shower curtain. I've found a lot of beautiful ones over at target and urban but the ones i like don't come in king size.... anyone know of any good places to look?

I'm undecided between these two shower curtains from urban.

walmart has some really neat floor cushions that i'd like to have around.. they come in handy when you have lots of people hanging out!

Now that all the christmas madness is over, its time to start buying more things for the house (and maybe myself)! I'm excited!!!

p.s. i bought myself a present today. a digital camera! yay. I can't wait for it to come in the mail so i can finally start sharing my ideas/finds/creations with you all!

One last day of christmas shopping... I hope.

Hopefully today my mom and I will knock out there rest of our Christmas shopping! I'm off work today! YAY! I'm excited to get to spend the day with my mom and Conrad. Then the rest of the evening will be spent making cake balls and cookies for Santa!!!



So for this weeks wednesday wishes, my number one wish is that you all have a wonderful christmas with family and friends and that we all keep in our hearts why we are celebrating. I hope you are all safe as you travel and make it back home safely!


I'm hoping to find this shirt in store for Nate. If not he may have to settle for it for his birthday the 11th. Of course I will also be buying anything and everything I see star wars related for nate and conrad. Oh how I love the boys in my life. =)

I have a few other things in mind but I dont want to list them as not to spoil the surprise so we're off to get ready and spend the day shopping. Love you all! have a merry christmas!

fa la la la la.... la la la la!

Christmas is so close i can hardly stand it!! Things are going GREAT with my new job and it feels awesome to be working again and helping out. Last night was our Christmas party and the company bought really nice toys for all the kids and gave out bonuses! It was so nice! I feel so blessed to be at a place like this. Most people I know don't even get a christmas bonus at all!

I've been collecting some goodies for Nate and Conrad and I can't wait for Christmas morning to see their faces when they open their presents! I still have quite a bit of shopping to do though!

this weeks wednesday wish list is a few items that are wishful thinking for others or for myself. =)

so i posted in last weeks wednesday wishes that i wanted a job... well I got the job I wanted! yay! =) so i'll be even more busy that i was before but that's okay!

I want a whole house by these guys.

basically everything over at their gallery is magical. I don't use that word lightly. i mean MAGICAL! I could live in an entire house designed by them!

wednesday wishes - a job!

i dont have too extensive of a wednesday wishes this week seeing as how black friday got me all but one of my christmas presents which i got early.i got a brother sewing machine and a new printer and a few other small things that i needed! now all i need is a digial camera and i'll be set! yay for my wonderful husband!

but my one real wish for wednesday wishes is that i get a job today! im applying at a few places to try and get a little extra cash before the holidays. so i'll be busy with that most of today while my mom babysits.


This is why i love my inlaws so much! lol

we had a lovely thanksgiving and since arriving home from all the hustle and bustle i've been decorating for christmas like crazy. i'll show you soon!

wednesday wishes, giving to others.

i hope everyone is being safe as they travel these next few days! pray you all make it to and home safely!

this week's wish list is more of a "giving" type. things id like for others.

ive got christmas on the brain already and like all parents i want to spoil my kiddo so i have some toys in mind..



like this little 4 wheeler for conrad to tear around the backyard in. =) it makes me smile thinking about him riding it already.



and of course some cute clothes!



This rad Boba Fett pop art print! My husband is obsessed with Star Wars and this would be a perfect gift for him. (luckily he doesnt read the blog often, in case i get it for him!)



if i had a ton of money id buy my parents brand new sweet wooden floors for their entire house. someday hopefully i will!





I saw thses CUTE robots on etsy today and immediately wanted to get this for my best friend.


last but not least, I'm ready for thanksgiving dinner! yum! we are spending the night at my mother in laws tonight, going to my dad's aunts in the morning for brunch and then back to my mother in laws to eat even more. I'm bring cake balls and mini cheese cakes! =)

wednesday wishes.

i actually pulled out all of my holiday decorations today! its not even thanksgiving yet, but this is probably going to be the most exciting christmas so far! conrad is 2 and totally knows whats up and that inside that pretty paper are toys and cool stuff! lol so ive got a few etsy finds that are on my decor wishlist! I have decided that this year I'm going to start collecting nutcrackers of all shapes, sizes and origins!

im set on knowing that i will forever be a kid, and a dream of mine is to have a photobooth in my house! a vintage one would be swell! this one is drool worthy.




A tree house for big kids, and of course the little kids too. id live in a tree house. straight up. this is dreamy.

today is a strokes kind of day...

decorating.
hanging tonnnnnnns of clothes.
then venturing to the salvation army today. i have to admit i am super duper excited. ive never been to this one before!

now that im figuring out how to work with all this space im realizing the things that i would like to have!

its not a must, but i think an old piano would look absolutely perfect in my living/dining area. =) conrad would have a ball!



my last wish, is to get my office fixed up super awesome. im dreaming about it already.

wednesday wishes & update

It's been over a week (gah!) since I've updated. Lack of time/internet/motivation to go find wifi... you get the story. ANYWAYS I've had a few great adventures since then that I'll be sharing as soon as I get the pictures! (Hint: awesome picnic, lots of goodies given to me by my awesome mother-in-law, and lots of Squid cuteness and birthday decorations. )

Conrad's birthday is in about 2 weeks I'm just about ready to hyperventilate because I have done much else other than plan and dream about it so I better get started! He has also learned to use the big boy potty! So proud of him! Reward a kid with gummy worms and he'll just about anything you want haha. Shh! I didn't say that.

I have to thank God because a lot of wonderful things have come our way lately. A lot of our problems that I had been worrying over have been solved. I feel as though I've had a billion pounds lifted from my shoulders! Thanks God for looking out for us like you always do! He also dropped a brand spanking new king size orthopedic bed on us! Still in the plastic! It's got the memory foam type stuff. We were throwing elbows in the middle of the night in our full size. lol I cant tell you guys how comfortably I've slept since getting it. It's been AMAZING! Which reminds me...

A quick Wednesday wishes:

A new duvet cover and sheets for the new bed! I'd love to have a beautiful one like this from urban outfitters. Our bedroom hasn't really felt like "ours" since moving into the apartment. This bed is making it finally feel like my own.

These cute mustache mugs. I'd like to buy, but I feel a project just coming on. Why not?

Also I think I'd like to have bright yellow in my hair. lol

I want this bed for Conrad now that he’s a big boy. =)

I want a new digital camera since I broke my old one.

A new sewing machine.

I want my car fixed.

Last but not least, I want to go on a mini trip before school starts. Maybe Austin or somewhere out of state but close. Possibly Oklahoma… I hear there’s a whole highway of nothing but flea markets and thrift stores… hmmm.. maybe Austin & Oklahoma!

All of the above will hopefully be accomplished in the next month or two. How exciting. =) The past few days haven’t been very eventful. I’ve just been brainstorming conrad’s birthday party more and more and finishing up the invitations. I’m going to be a little dinosaured out once this is all said and done.
