summer time. water/fireworks/dinosaurs

Here's our summer so far in a photo dump. the zoo+dinosaurs (conrad was ecstatic). water parks..fireworks and pretty sparkler pictures.

happy 4th

Happy late 4th of july. I'm still posting via phone. We had a great two days with family doing fireworks and pigging out. My favorite food this year was definitely my moms honey ham and my mother in laws strawberry shirtcake. Yum! Conrad had a blast doing sparklers and was even brave enoughto hold a roaming candle. Isn't the 4th of july a romantic holiday? What did u guys do and what did you eat?

county fair

there's something extremely romantic and whimsical about fairs and carnivals. every time there's one in town i get butterflies in my stomach thinking about all the lights, the festive atmosphere and of course the ridiculous amount and variety of fried foods. i'm a strong believe in that it doesn't get much better than in texas. =)

last night we took a family outing to the county fair. it was a blast since conrad could actually ride a few of the little kiddo rides. =) he wasn't very thrilled with the mini roller coaster but he loved the ferris wheel and the fun house.

hot texas days.

 

we spent most of the day inside, but eventually went out to picnic and play in the water to avoid cabin fever.  the puppies even had fun getting wet. needless to say, we were all pooped by the end of it all.

I've been busy still branding/brainstorming and working to plan out "what it is i want to do with my life". i'm pretty dead set on what direction i'm heading so the past few days have been working on logo designs and site ideas. i've also found myself venturing into a endeavor that i wouldnt have thought i would. funny how that happens. anyways, i cant wait to finally show some of these accomplishments to you!

Dallas World Aquarium

A couple of weeks ago Conrad and I took a trip to the Dallas World Aquarium. It was a blast for both of us. He was so stoked about everything. It blew his mind. =) It's so much fun to see your kid so excited about something.

im proud to finally be able to say that i bought katcurling.com and am in the process of getting the site together. its a tiny but monumental step for me in getting where i need to be and want to be... but no matter what i do i still feel unfulfilled (creatively, emotionally, personally blah blah). all i can think of doing is just making things and creating and no matter what i do its not good enough and i have to keep doing more. its not very satisfying. i need to have more confidence in what i do. so this week ill be working myself to death and racking my brain trying to get a portfolio together.

anyhoo conrad and i are off for some fresh air and adventuring!

fall!

we had a long and eventful weekend. unfortunately we had a death on my husbands side of the family so we spent saturday night/sunday morning out at my husband's grandparents for a memorial get together and bonfire. there was a great turn out and the memorial service was beautiful with acoustic music and lots of good stories. We will miss you James!



Saturday evening was a great night around the bonfire with close family and friends and it was exactly what James would have wanted. I met a few neat people and conrad had a blast with all the other kiddos.



Sunday we spent the afternoon at the pumpkin patch down the street going on hay rides and letting the kiddos play on the hay bales and in the bounce houses. conrad was a bit of chicken about the bounce houses though. lol im so excited that its fall! its been so lovely! all the colors are exciting!





i married into the greatest families! I have the greatest inlaws and nieces and nephews! Most of these pictures were taken by my sister in law Regina so thanks to her for letting me steal them for a bit!
