sneak peak!

as promised, i wanted to give you a little sneak peak at our new house. im having a hard time finding the right place for things and getting settled in because im not accustomed to all this space lol! so its going to be a while before its going to be really "us", but we've got some GREAT ideas.








here's my new lovely desk courtesy of my mom in law. my office has all wood paneled walls which i love. and the cutest old long windows that you have to turn a crank to open. i guess technically this room was designed to be a dining room or den because it has a built in buffet which is homing my books and nate's star wars memorabilia nicely lol.



and the view from my kitchen sink. my owl salt shakers have a home!





also, when we moved in this old school video game was in the house! we thought it was broken but nate figured out how to fix it and now it works! it so much fun! plus it also serves as a table when not in use!

fetish friday.

its been an eventful morning. found out some good news on the house we're wanting to get. hopefully we'll be moving in very very soon! so excited! thankfully its in need of a paint job, therefore i get to customize it. woo. =) so on that note... here's some of my favorite home decor things/colors/ideas.

ill finally be able to do what i want for conrads room. a light blue, orange and pea green color scheme with lots of vintage and retro goodness. I particularly LOVE this room. robots? of course!









im in love with all these color palettes. so excited to start!

something im also excited about is my hometowns county fair, which has been going on this week. i'm excited to take conrad this weekend in the midst of all the moving madness. hopefully ill see some sweet old faces. =) carnivals/fairs are so fun. aside from the ridiculous cost, the lights and atmosphere are so fun.

fetish friday.

i dont really have a set blog schedule or anything but ive been binging on a lot of things lately so i figured doing "fetish friday" every now and then would be a good opportunity to further prove how absorbed i am in something haha. i'm traveling back to my high school days and reliving my crush on the white stripes. they're wonderful, hence the song. also i adore kooky people. =)


this week (like many other weeks) im binging on Cillian Murphy, one of my favorite actors. Besides being incredibly,ridiculously, insanely handsome, he is an AMAZING actor. I first saw him in the awesome zombie movie 28 Days Later, and it was "love" at first sight haha. Since then he's been in many great movies like The Dark Knight, Batman Begins, Red Eye, and my personal favorites Sunshine, Peacock and The Edge of Love. so i tip my hat you my favorite irish artist.

I definitely plan on making my own photobooth AND an entertainment center like that. how awesome.

busy weekend of birthday planning, baking and hopefully making a few decorations and getting invitations out. the best friend is back from costa rica and im excited to get together with her and hear all about it. we plan on lots of baking and testing out the new dinosaur cookie cutters. everyone have a lovely weekend. happy treasure hunting!

STRAWBERRY CHEESCAKE SNOWCONES. HECK YES!

NEW OBSESSION!

This weekend was full of some great highlights such as: STRAWBERRY CHEESCAKE SNOWCONES! Friday evening Nate got a new tattoo. Of course it had to b a pirate/nautical tattoo so he ended up getting a parrot on his shoulder. =) It turned out fantastic so props to that dude! I'll post a picture when Nate gets home from work. I'm itching to get another now! I'm probably going to get my first one fixed by him before I get a new one though.We spent saturday afternoon at the Quinlan flea market. We didn't stay long due to that Texas heat, but found a great steal for $1. Can't wait to deconstruct this one and make a bit less matronly!



Nate found some awesome grilling utensils all in the case for $5. Not too shabby. Sunday was spent being lazy and taking Conrad to the little mini water park down the road. He had a blast of course. It's so easy to make that kiddo happy. =)



I'm excited that I'm enrolling in school this month. =) Go me! I'm going online. They're providing me with a new Macbook Pro so I know this school was meant to be! I can finally quit hogging Nate's macbook. I'm just ready to get this whole "degree thing" over and done with. I have a lot of experience and a decent portfolio already but I want that degree to back it all up. Everything I've done is self taught so it'll be good to brush up and smooth out the rough spots.

So have you seen this amazing wallpaper by Pottok? Holy cow it's so beautiful. I'd be living in my own inspiration dream world if I had this wallpaper gracing my walls. I would love to have the apples or the whales in Conrad's room. How great would that be!
